Lyle The Crocodile

LYLE THE CROCODILE is the story of a friendly crocodile who turns up in a bathtub in an apartment in New York City's Upper East Side. Lyle becomes good friends with the folks in the building, except for Mr. Grumps, who hates Lyle, parades, people, and pretty much everything. However, when Lyle rescues Mr. Grumps and his cat Loretta from a fire, Mr. Grumps has to apologize for the way he's treated Lyle. In the end, Lyle helps those around him learn that they should not judge others by how different they appear to be, but to love people (and crocodiles) for what they are.
*Appropriate for K-4
*Performance is about 55 minutes
*Produced by Great Works Touring Theatre

The McComb-Bruchs PAC staff and volunteers were happy to host students from the Tri-County and Westfield School districts for this live theatrical performance.  Great Works Touring Theater Company from Chicago entertained the 1st – 6th grade students.  Some students and one chaperone got to participate in a spelling bee on stage.  We don’t know what happened to Ichobod Crane,  the new school master in town, This will remain a mystery.  Everyone left with smiles on their faces.  We think Ms. McCombs and Ms. Bruchs would be pleased!
