“Ensamble 7/4” was born out of a friendship of seven young members of El Sistema (the National System of Youth & Children’s Orchestras of Venezuela) who came together to extend the boundaries of academic music to include Venezuelan folk music, Latin American music, and jazz. You will experience a unique and unusual performance as these musicians incorporate 4 trumpets, double bass, Venezuelan cuatro, and percussion in arrangements choreographed especially for them. Add a touch of humor for fun. Proudly, the band will participate in our student outreach program on Friday.
