Welcome back to our series of columns designed to keep you up to date on the happenings at your McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. We are looking forward to the start of our 21st Season of providing arts programming and entertainment for Central Wisconsin.
Our 2011-12 Season features a “Big Occasion” every month for your enjoyment including:
- October 22 – “The Cheesehead Monologues”,
- November 12 – “The Buckinghams”,
- December 10 – “A Hometown Christmas”,
- January 21 – Dailey & Vincent”,
- February 11 – “Mojo and The Bayou Gypsies”,
- March 10 – “The Celtic Tenors”,
- April 13 – “Presidio Brass”, and
- May 5 – “Barrage”.
Our tradition of offering great dinner packages with many shows continues, including a special “Cajun Dinner” in February, and an “Irish Feast” in March! Pick up our new season brochure at the box office or most local businesses to learn more about the shows and special offers.
Tickets are already moving quickly for “The Cheesehead Monologues” featuring nationally touring comedians Mike Mercury, Mike Marvel, and the area’s own Roger Radley. A special “Moosetoberfest” German food & beverage package is available with the show at a great discount. Come to this hilarious show at the special 2:00 PM matinee time and join us at “Moosetoberfest” after the show for a great start to our season of “Big Occasions” .
Your PAC is also again providing special School Programming available to area school districts at minimal cost. This season’s first offering is TheatreIV’s national touring musical “Tales as Tall as the Sky” with two shows on October 12th.
Work has begun on moving the location of our sound system controls to the main floor of the theatre to enhance your listening experience, but it means that there will be thirteen fewer seats available – so shows will sell out even sooner!
If you have been wondering why this column was on hiatus this summer, the explanation is simple: I do my best writing on yellow legal pads and ran out of them in May – help to keep the gibberish flowing by dropping off a legal pad at our box office in October.
