Hello Wautoma! Bye, Bye Birdie! The stage at your PAC is being transformed as area students are deep into rehearsal for the Wautoma High School musical “Bye, Bye Birdie” scheduled for November 6, 7, & 9. Directed Tim Scheer, this captivating show tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army. The singer, Conrad Birdie (Brandon Meckelberg), is an Elvis Presley type. Albert Peterson (Jacob Behringer), his agent, is a very pleasant mild mannered young man. Albert’s faithful secretary Rose Alvarez (Toni Mielke) keeps him and Birdie moving forward in the world. Rosie concocts one final national publicity plan before Conrad’s induction – Conrad will bid a typical American teen-age girl goodbye with an all-American kiss. Kim MacAfee (Bridgette Brodzeller) in Sweet Apple, Ohio wins the honor and the fun begins.
Be sure to come and support the dozens of talented teens who join in the cast singing and dancing to memorable songs such as The Telephone Hour, Honestly Sincere, One Last Kiss, Rosie, A Lot of Livin’ to Do, and Put on a Happy Face. Tickets are only $7 for adults, $4 for high school students, and $2 for grade school students. Show times are 7:00 pm on Nov. 6 & 7 and 2:00 pm on Nov. 9. All performances by school groups at your PAC are now included on our website at www.mcccombbruchspac.com – check it out!
Other upcoming shows at your PAC include The Four B****’n Babes performing their hilarious musical revue “”Hormonal Imbalance” on Friday, November 21st. Plans are also being completed for “A Hometown Christmas” on December 13th – last years inaugural event was a sell-out! Season brochures are available at most area businesses. You may want to consider a PAC gift certificate for that special occasion coming up – let the recipient pick their favorite show!
